I didn't start building backgammon boards to fill a gap in the market. I started simply because I wanted to play on something special.

But when I took my handcrafted boards to tournaments, people noticed and the response was immediate. One by one, they asked if I could make one for them.

NAMESAKE QUALITY

When it came to putting a name on this work, I didn't look for a fancy label. Instead, I chose alex&marc, the names of my two sons.

That choice defines everything I do. It is the highest stake I can set. Because when you put your children’s names on something, ‘good enough’ isn’t an option. You build with enough integrity to outlast you, to be played by them, and eventually, by their own children.

That is why we only source and use real materials … solid timber, genuine leather and authentic casino-grade suede. A legacy isn't built on shortcuts. It is built on things that last. Each one hand crafted and individually unique.

We build for ladies and gentlemen who teach their sons and daughters, and for the sons and daughters who will remember those times forever and one day teach theirs.

This isn't just a game board. It is an inhertance.
